This service is not for emergencies. For severe chest pain, major breathing difficulty, signs of stroke, severe bleeding, fainting, a serious allergic reaction, immediate danger or another possible emergency in India, call 112 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for an online appointment, assessment result, chatbot or email.
Consult a verified doctor online with scope, fees and next steps shown clearly
An online doctor consultation can help you discuss symptoms, health history, medicines, reports or an ongoing plan without travelling for every conversation. It is most useful when the doctor can assess your concern safely through teleconsultation.
Nily helps you check current availability, review the doctor's verified identity and professional details, understand the consultation scope and fee, give informed consent and prepare useful information before you confirm.
No card required to check availability · fees, scope and terms are shown before you confirm or pay.
A consultation does not guarantee a diagnosis, prescription, test, referral, certificate or specific treatment. The doctor decides whether online assessment is appropriate and may recommend in-person care.

What is an online doctor consultation?
An online doctor consultation, or teleconsultation, is a video or audio appointment with a registered medical practitioner. You describe your concern, medical history and current medicines; the doctor reviews the available information and decides what can safely be assessed remotely, and what needs in-person examination, testing or urgent care instead.

Prepare for a useful online medical consultation
If available and relevant, have these ready:
- A clear description of the concern, when it began and what has changed.
- Current medicines, supplements, allergies and recent changes.
- Relevant diagnoses, procedures and previous advice.
- Reports, readings or images specifically related to the concern.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding status when clinically relevant.
- Your questions and the outcome you hope to understand.
- A private, well-lit setting and a stable connection for the stated consultation mode.
Do not delay urgent care while gathering information. Do not upload another person's records through your account unless the authorized dependent or caregiver pathway applies.
When teleconsultation may not be enough
Online consultation has limits. The doctor may need a physical examination, reliable vital signs, a diagnostic test, imaging, an in-person procedure or direct observation that cannot be completed remotely.
Seek urgent or in-person assessment when advised, or when symptoms are severe, rapidly worsening or potentially time-critical. The availability module and chatbot must never down-rank emergency actions in favour of a booking.
Read Nily's Safety GuidancePrescriptions are based on clinical judgment—not a purchase promise
Only an appropriately registered medical practitioner may decide whether a medicine is indicated and whether it may lawfully and safely be prescribed through teleconsultation. The decision depends on the consultation, available information, current rules and the need for examination or follow-up.
Nily must not:
- Guarantee a prescription, medicine, test, referral, certificate or diagnosis.
- Sell consultation access as a shortcut to a particular medicine.
- Rank doctors by prescribing frequency or commercial conversion.
- Pressure a doctor to prescribe, retain or upsell a patient.
- Auto-generate a prescription without the doctor's review and authorization.
- Replace the verified clinical record with a consumer-facing AI summary.
Know who you are consulting
Before confirmation, the live service must show the selected doctor's verified name, qualification, registration identifier and registering body, relevant scope, consultation mode, fee, time and applicable terms. Clearly state whether the doctor is an independent provider, partner or otherwise connected with Nily.
Patients must also provide accurate identity information. A caregiver or parent using the service for someone else must use the authorized dependent pathway and accurately identify the patient and their relationship.
Privacy for consultations and medical records
Symptoms, diagnoses, medicines, reports, consultation recordings, notes, prescriptions, reproductive-health details and inferred conditions are sensitive. Nily must use access controls, encryption, purpose limitation, auditable handling and retention rules appropriate to each record type.
Do not place health details in advertising pixels, general analytics, session replay, unprotected email or ordinary support tickets. Do not record a consultation by default. If recording is ever offered, require a separate, explicit and revocable choice with a stated purpose, access and retention period.

Frequently asked questions
What is an online doctor consultation?
It is a remote consultation with a registered medical practitioner using an appropriate communication mode. The doctor reviews the available information and decides what can safely be handled online.
How do I get an online doctor consultation?
Check current availability for your location and need, review the doctor's verified name, qualification, registration number and fee, complete consent and private intake, then attend the appointment at the confirmed time. You receive a documented summary and next steps afterwards.
Is online doctor consultation legal in India?
Yes. Registered medical practitioners may conduct teleconsultations under the Government of India's Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, and Nily requires each practitioner's applicable registration to be verified before they appear as available. This is general information, not legal advice, and some medicines and situations remain restricted under those rules.
Can an online doctor diagnose my condition?
A doctor may reach a clinical assessment when the information and remote examination are sufficient, but some concerns require in-person examination or tests. A diagnosis is never guaranteed.
Can an online doctor prescribe medicine?
The doctor decides whether a prescription is clinically appropriate and permitted under current telemedicine rules. Some medicines and situations cannot be managed remotely.
Is Nily's online doctor consultation free?
Your first doctor consultation is free. From the second consultation onward, the selected doctor's current fee, applicable taxes and terms are shown before you book. The free first consultation is an introductory offer; its scope and terms are displayed in the app.
How much does an online doctor consultation cost?
Your first consultation is free. After that, fees vary by doctor, scope and appointment, and the full current fee is always shown before you confirm or pay — this page does not hard-code a price that may become inaccurate.
Can I choose a specialist?
Only currently verified provider categories and scopes may be shown. If a suitable specialist is not available, Nily must say so rather than imply access.
Can a doctor review my lab reports online?
Often, reports can be discussed online when interpreted with relevant history and symptoms. The doctor may still recommend examination, repeat testing or another professional.
Is video always required?
The appropriate mode depends on the concern, doctor and applicable rules. The selected appointment must state its mode before booking, and the doctor may require video or in-person care.
How long is the consultation?
The live booking option must show its scheduled duration or format. Clinical needs vary, and a listed duration does not guarantee that every concern can be resolved in one appointment.
What should I do if my symptoms become urgent before the appointment?
Do not wait for the appointment or an online response. Call 112 or go to the nearest emergency department for a possible emergency.
Can I book for my child or another family member?
Use the authorized dependent or caregiver pathway. The patient must be identified accurately, and the applicable consent and guardian requirements must be completed.
Will the consultation be recorded?
It must not be recorded by default. If recording is ever offered for a defined purpose, Nily must request separate explicit consent and explain access, retention and deletion rules.
What happens if the doctor says I need in-person care?
Follow the urgency and next-step advice provided. Payment and follow-up terms must explain how a consultation that requires in-person care is handled without implying that online management is always possible.
How can I contact Nily?
Email Info@annotatory.com for non-urgent product, privacy, billing, support or partnership enquiries. Do not use email for emergencies or send medical records through ordinary email.
Check availability before sharing detailed health information
Confirm that an appropriately scoped doctor is available, review verified professional details and fees, and proceed only after the consultation mode, terms and privacy choices are clear.
An online consultation is not emergency care and does not guarantee a diagnosis, prescription, test, referral or treatment outcome. Questions? Email Info@annotatory.com .
